Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 22, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how FireBreath ("we", "our", or "us") uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website and use our platform.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They help the website remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how you use the site. Cookies can be "persistent" (remaining on your device until they expire or you delete them) or "session" (deleted when you close your browser).

2. Cookies We Use

2.1 Essential Cookies (Required)

These cookies are necessary for the Service to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

  • Authentication session: Supabase Auth cookies (sb-*-auth-token) that maintain your login session. Duration: up to 7 days, refreshed on activity.
  • CSRF protection: State tokens used during OAuth connections to prevent cross-site request forgery. Duration: 10 minutes (deleted after use).

2.2 Preference Cookies (Functional)

These cookies store your preferences to improve your experience. They are stored in your browser's local storage.

  • Cookie consent: Remembers your cookie consent preference so we don't ask again. Duration: 12 months.
  • UI preferences: Calendar view mode, sidebar state, and other interface settings. Duration: persistent until cleared.

2.3 Analytics Cookies (Optional)

We may use analytics cookies in the future to understand how visitors use our website and identify areas for improvement. These cookies are optional and only set with your consent. Currently, we do not use any third-party analytics cookies.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Our Service does not currently set third-party tracking cookies. When you connect social media accounts via OAuth, those platforms may set their own cookies on their domains during the authentication process — those cookies are governed by each platform's own cookie and privacy policies.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control cookies in several ways:

  • Cookie consent banner: When you first visit our site, you can choose "Accept All" or "Essential Only" to control which cookies are set.
  • Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent you from using the Service.
  • Account deletion: Deleting your account removes all associated session cookies from our servers.

4.1 Browser-Specific Instructions

  • Google Chrome
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Safari
  • Microsoft Edge

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new cookie categories or change our practices. Check the "Last updated" date at the top of this page for the most recent version.

6. Contact Us

If you have questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at privacy@firebreath.app.
