How AI Captions Work
FireBreath uses AI (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to generate social media captions tailored to each platform. The AI considers character limits, platform conventions, hashtag usage, and your chosen tone to produce captions that feel native to each platform.
You provide a prompt describing what the post should be about, and the AI returns 2 variations per platform. You can then pick the best one, edit it, or regenerate.
Using AI Captions
From the Compose page:
- 1.Click the AI caption generator button.
- 2.Describe what your post should be about.
- 3.Select target platforms (Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
- 4.Choose a tone: casual, professional, witty, inspirational, educational, or promotional.
- 5.Optionally select a language (supports English, Chinese, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, German, Hindi).
- 6.Click Generate.
The AI returns 2 variations per selected platform with character counts. Click to use any variation, then edit as needed.
Tone Options
- Casual — Relaxed, conversational, uses everyday language. Great for brands with a friendly voice.
- Professional — Polished and authoritative. Ideal for B2B, LinkedIn, and corporate communications.
- Witty — Clever and humorous. Grabs attention in crowded feeds.
- Inspirational — Motivational and uplifting. Works well for personal brands and wellness content.
- Educational — Informative and value-driven. Positions you as an expert.
- Promotional — Direct and action-oriented. Best for sales, launches, and offers.
Multi-Language Support
AI captions can be generated in multiple languages:

The AI generates native-quality captions in each language, not machine translations. Hashtags and platform conventions are adapted for the target language and regional audience.
Via MCP / AI Agent
If you use FireBreath's MCP server with Claude Code or another AI assistant, captions can be generated programmatically with the firebreath_generate_caption tool. This enables fully automated content pipelines where an AI agent writes, generates captions, and schedules posts without manual intervention.
