Instagram

FireBreath supports two Instagram connection methods: via a linked Facebook Page (recommended) or via direct Instagram OAuth. The Facebook-linked method provides richer analytics and supports carousel posts.

How to Connect

  1. 1Go to Accounts and click "Connect Account".
  2. 2Select Instagram (via Facebook) or Instagram (Standalone).
  3. 3For the Facebook method: authorize through Facebook, then select the Instagram Business account linked to your page.
  4. 4For Standalone: authorize directly with your Instagram credentials.
  5. 5Grant the requested permissions and return to FireBreath.

Troubleshooting

Instagram requires at least one image or video.

Instagram does not support text-only posts. Always attach at least one image or video when posting to Instagram.

My Instagram account does not appear when connecting via Facebook.

Your Instagram account must be a Business or Creator account linked to a Facebook Page. Go to Instagram Settings > Account > Switch to Professional Account, then link it to your Facebook Page.

Analytics metrics differ between connection methods.

The Facebook-linked method supports impressions, reach, and more granular metrics. Standalone supports reach, saves, likes, comments, and shares but not impressions. For the richest analytics, use the Facebook-linked method.
