Manual Posting
Some content types and platforms do not support API publishing. Manual posting lets you prepare content in FireBreath and post it yourself when the time comes.
When to Use Manual Posting
Use manual posting when:
- The platform does not support API publishing (e.g., Xiaohongshu / XHS).
- The content requires platform-specific features not available via API (e.g., Instagram Reels with custom music, location tags, interactive stickers).
- You want to add personal touches that APIs cannot replicate.
- The platform requires manual review or human interaction during posting.
Creating a Manual Post
From the Compose page:
- 1.Write your content and attach media.
- 2.Select the target account.
- 3.Choose "Manual" as the post action.
- 4.Add manual instructions (e.g., "Post as Reel, use trending audio, add location tag for Vancouver").
- 5.Optionally set a schedule for when you plan to post.
- 6.Click "Create Manual Post".
The post is saved to the Manual Queue with your caption, media, and instructions.
The Manual Post Page
The Manual Post page shows all posts flagged for manual publishing. For each post:
- Caption — Ready to copy with a single click.
- Media — Downloadable images and videos.
- Instructions — Your notes on how to post (audio choice, hashtags, location, etc.).
- Mark as Posted — Click when you have posted it on the platform.
This workflow keeps manual posts organized alongside your automated content.
Via MCP / AI Agent
AI agents can create manual posts using firebreath_create_post with action: "manual". The manualInstructions field is shown to the user on the Manual Post page.
Example: An AI agent might prepare an Instagram Reel caption and images, but flag it for manual posting because the Reel needs a trending audio track that cannot be added via API.
