Social Inbox

Manage all your comments, replies, and mentions from every connected platform in one unified inbox.

What is the Social Inbox?

The Social Inbox pulls comments, replies, and mentions from all your connected social media accounts into a single, unified feed. Instead of checking each platform individually, you can see all your engagement in one place and respond directly from FireBreath.

Supported platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

How It Works

Click the "Sync" button on the Inbox page to pull the latest comments from your connected accounts. FireBreath fetches comments from published posts on each platform and stores them locally with deduplication — syncing multiple times won't create duplicates.

Each comment includes: - Author name, username, and profile picture - The original comment or reply text - Sentiment analysis (positive, neutral, negative) - Link to the original post - Timestamp

Replying to Comments

Select any comment in the inbox to see the full detail panel. Type your reply in the reply box and click "Reply" — FireBreath sends the response directly to the platform's API. Your reply is recorded in the inbox so you can see what you've already responded to.

Reply support varies by platform: - Facebook — Reply to page post comments - Instagram — Reply to media comments - Threads — Reply to thread replies - YouTube — Reply to video comments - LinkedIn — Reply to post comments

Filtering and Search

The inbox supports multiple filters:

  • Platform — Show comments from a specific platform only
  • Read/Unread — Focus on items you haven't seen yet
  • Sentiment — Filter by positive, neutral, or negative sentiment
  • Search — Find comments by text or author name
  • Archived — View previously archived items

Bulk Actions

Select multiple comments using the checkboxes, then use the bulk action bar to: - Mark selected as read - Archive selected items

This is useful for quickly clearing out batches of comments you've already reviewed.

Sentiment Analysis

FireBreath automatically analyzes the sentiment of each comment using keyword detection. Comments are classified as:

  • Positive — Contains words like "love", "great", "amazing", or positive emoji
  • Negative — Contains words like "hate", "terrible", "awful", or negative emoji
  • Neutral — No strong sentiment detected

Use the sentiment filter to quickly find negative comments that need attention.

MCP Integration

The Social Inbox is fully accessible via the MCP server with 3 tools:

  • firebreath_list_inbox — List inbox items with filters
  • firebreath_reply_inbox — Reply to a comment
  • firebreath_sync_inbox — Sync latest comments

This enables AI agents to manage engagement automatically — for example, auto-replying to positive comments or flagging negative ones for human review.

Tips

Sync your inbox regularly to catch new comments. Consider adding inbox sync to your daily content workflow.
Use sentiment filtering to prioritize negative comments — addressing concerns quickly improves brand perception.
The MCP tools allow you to build automated engagement workflows with AI agents.
Archived items are hidden from the main feed but preserved for reference. Use archive to keep your inbox clean.
